The most notable birds of the day came in the form of 5 Whooper Swans which decided to take up residence on one of our ponds, they took flight around lunchtime when they were flushed off the pond but swiftly returned and resumed feeding soon after.

Other birds sighted today were 2 Widgeon that passed by at sea, along with 11 Common Scotter, 1 Great Skua, 2 Mediterranean Gulls, 104 Black Headed Gulls and 381 Razorbills. 13 Turnstones fed around the beaches and bays along with a scattering of Rock Pipis and the Water Pipit from the previous day.

A female Mallard was trapped and ringed during the evening.
