A rather quiet day with light easterlies and clear skies saw a small passage of migrants in the morning amounting to 16 Skylarks, 27 Swallows, 86 Meadow Pipits, a Rook, 81 Chaffinches, eight Siskins, three Greenfinches, 46 Goldfinches and a Lapland Bunting. Thrush counts for the day included 21 Blackbirds, 10 Song Thrushes and a Redwing, whilst three Greater-spotted Woodpeckers remained mobile around the island. Out to sea, 11 Little Gulls and four Mediterranean Gulls were recorded, and three Merlins were recorded inland.

The first Blair's Shoulder-knot (top) for the island and a Green-brindled Crescent (bottom) were trapped along with over 100 more common moths
A few Red-line Quakers (top) and 12 Caloptilia stigmatella (bottom) were also caught
Several baby seals are dotted round the island at the moment, this youngster was being washed by the waves as it waited for its mother to return.
